Dan Rad's pissed about Potter always getting snubbed by the Academy

Even though (A) the Academy has a little prejudice towards Sci-Fi/Fantasy and (B) I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, I’m going to be the unpopular opinion and say that none of the movies were really worthy of noms in any non-technical category, minus DH2.

Maybe the Academy won’t give awards to the Potter flicks because they’ve read the books and know how they differ from the movies. At the most I would say the Alan Rickman should get a nom for Best Supporting Actor for every single movie because he IS Snape, but other than that I don’t really feel like the movies deserve any other noms.

I know the Academy is not the end all, be all of movies (because Leonardo DiCaprio STILL has not gotten an Oscar) and are “biased” against the Fantasy films, but regardless, I stand by my opinion.

Do I love Harry Potter? Absolutely. Ask me for my favorite movies, however, and I would list many more before I even listed one of the Harry Potter movies (my fav out of the series is DH2 btw).
